This is the Duo album by Yosuke Yamashita, Japan's leading free jazz pianist, and German jazz bassist Adelhard Roidinger, whose Computer & Jazz Project and the ECM classic Schattseite were featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND. The album features the interplay of Yamashita and Roidinger, who intertwine their energies with a tremendous intensity, where a melody is spun out as if a thick wood bass is roaring over a piano with a strong attack that has a distinctive edge. The 18-minute-long raging improvisation of B1 is a masterpiece.
