Hozan Yamamoto is a shakuhachi (bamboo flute) player who has made great achievements not only in classical performing arts but also in contemporary activities. Tadao Sawai, one of Japan's leading koto players, formed the "Folk Music Society" with Hozan and Reibo Aoki, and engaged in creative and performance activities that sublimated not only classical music but also jazz and classical music. This work features "The Four Seasons," one of the most famous pieces by Antonio Vivaldi, an Italian composer of the Baroque era. It is an attempt to play Western music using Japanese instruments, which was quite common at that time. It is not funky, and is easy listening in taste, but the parts with guitarist Sadanori Nakamure and drummer Takeshi Inomata, who later participated in Kuniyama's avant-garde activities, as well as bassist Tatsuro Takimoto, are different.
