This was introduced in the 1st. edition of the guidebook "Obscure Sound". This is an album released in 1979 by Shigeru Suzuki, one of Japan's most famous slide guitarists, who was a member of Happyend, a group formed by Haruomi Hosono, Eiichi Otaki, and Takashi Matsumoto, and after the group broke up, Hosono formed a new group, Tin Pan Alley, in which he participated in many sessions. The album is a masterpiece of West Coast jazz-rock with a Latin feel, featuring many musicians associated with the group, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yukihiro Takahashi, Akiko Yano, Pecker, Rei Kohara, Motoya Hamaguchi, and Tsugitoshi Goto. I highly recommend B1, in which Sarita Escobar and Hamaguchi's vocals sway mellowly over Yukihiro's gently laid-back drums and Sakamoto's electric piano.
