First leader album by British keyboardist Mark Gray, who was a member of Japanese bassist Teruo Nakamura's Rising Sun Band in New York. It was released in 1982 under the auspices of a label run by Japanese tape maker TDK, and features many of the great players of the US jazz/fusion scene of the 1980s, including Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Eric Gale and Steve Gadd. Teruo Nakamura also participated on one track. From boogie jazz funk with slap bass to fusion with Latin flavours and urban fusion featuring soulful vocals, this is an excellent album with danceable tracks that focus on groove without going too technical.
