Recorded in 1975 by Atrium Musicae de Madrid, an ancient music ensemble founded in 1964 by Gregorio Paniagua, an ancient musician from Madrid, Spain, and a leading expert on ancient music. Members of the group include Luis Paniagua, one of the leading figures of the Spanish contemporary/new age scene, who incorporated Arab and Mediterranean classical music into contemporary music, and his brother Eduardo. Gregorio Paniagua is not only a musicologist, but also a medical doctor. The album is a unique work that takes up the Italian dance song 'Tarantella' as its subject and sublimates it into a unique sound world through the filter of Andalusian folklore, which is the subject of his research. This is the Japanese edition on super vinyl released by Victor Company of Japan in 1983.
