Recorded in 1979 by Atrium Musicae de Madrid, an ancient ensemble founded in 1964 by Gregorio Paniagua, an ancient musician from Madrid, Spain, and a leading scholar of ancient music. Members include his son Luis Paniagua, one of the leading figures of the Spanish contemporary/New Age scene, who incorporated Arab and Mediterranean classical music into contemporary music, and his brother Eduardo. The album features a unique arrangement of Spanish classical music called Villasico, based on the theme of 15th and 16th century Renaissance music. The melody on A3 is reminiscent of Steve Reich's famous 'Tehillim', which was composed on the theme of Jewish scripture. Japanese edition on super vinyl using high quality recording material.
