Ravi Shankar, who gained worldwide fame as a sitar player of North Indian classical music, performed with American violinist Yehudi Menuhin on this album released in 1966. As the title suggests, this album featured a collaboration between specialists in both Eastern and Western music, performing Indian classical music and Western classical music, with side A featuring three ragas based on Shankar's score, and side B a selection of works by Georges Enesco's violin sonata. Both Indian and Western classical music are same performed under strict theory. This is the first Japanese pressing by red vinyl edition released in 1968. The sound is also very good.
