This is the second album by The Fisherman’s Walkband, a super-obscure six-piece jazz-rock group formed in Stuttgart, in southern Germany, and self-released in 1984. Like their previous work, this album explores a fusion of jazz-rock styles, but with an added international flair. The tracks incorporate Latin, Caribbean, Brazilian, African, Indian, and flamenco influences, blending these with Santana-like guitar and horn arrangements. The result is a delightfully eclectic mix that exudes a sense of local musicians just having fun and doing what they love, making for a uniquely captivating listen.
