This was featured in the first edition of the guidebook "obscure sound". This is a solo album by bassist Tetsuo Sakurai, an original member of the Japanese fusion band Casiopea, released in 1986 while he was still a member of the group. The album features a pop sound that departs from so-called "fusion" while using a large amount of synthesizers, including B4, which introduces a drum machine that seems to have been influenced by the Africa Bambaata. The sound makeup incorporates traditional Japanese instruments such as taiko drums and shinobue flute, and the dance tune A4, which features vocals by Etsuko Yamakawa, who also participates in Casiopea on chorus and keyboards, is particularly recommended.
