An album released in 1983 by Free Flight, a group consisting of Bulgarian pianist Milcho Leviev—who also released an outstanding live duo recording with Dave Holland on Pan Music in 1992—flutist Jim Walker, who performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, drummer Ralph Humphrey, known for his work with Frank Zappa and The Mothers, and bassist Jim Lacefield. This excellent work showcases a diverse range of styles, from airy Brazilian crossover featuring soaring flute lines over Yamaha CE20/GS synthesizers and Fender Rhodes, to Oriental ethno-fusion, post-bop, and baroque jazz.
