During this period, the band incorporated intricate arrangements and strong crossover jazz influences, resulting in a highly aggressive and energetic Afro-Cuban jazz experience throughout the album. A2 feels like an Afro-Cuban take on Chick Corea’s Return to Forever, while the album kicks off brilliantly with A1, a stunning arrangement of a traditional song.
