A solo album released in 1982 by Dutch guitarist Jan Akkerman, best known as a core member of the jazz-rock group Focus, and as a solo artist who explored a wide range of styles including progressive rock, fusion, disco, and electronic music. Highlights include the floating new-age fusion of A1, created through layers of synthesizer pad sounds and overdubbed acoustic/electric guitars, and the mellow fusion of A3, where airy synth pads and a wistful electric guitar solo paint a beautiful dusk-time landscape. Alongside these are tracks rooted in his signature progressive jazz-rock approach, making this a consistently urban-tinged and finely crafted crossover album from start to finish.
