Akiko Yano, a composer, singer, and pianist, has been active as a session musician with Caramel Mama (Tin Pan Alley), led by Haruomi Hosono, and has participated in various artists' works as a keyboardist and chorus player. This album was released in 1986 by composer/singer/pianist Akiko Yano. The album was co-produced with Ryuichi Sakamoto and arranged by both. In addition to musicians around YMO such as Yukihiro Takahashi, Rei Kohara, and Kenji Omura, the album also features overseas artists such as Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez, and Anthony Jackson, as well as Masaki Matsubara and Yosui Inoue in the chorus. Peter Barakan, Taeko Onuki, and Kazumasa Oda also participated as lyricists. From the solid electronic dances of Ryuichi Sakamoto to the elegant jazz of Akiko Yano, the high quality of the sound production and the melodic sense of Akiko Yano come together beautifully. A great album.
