This is the leader album by Aldo Romano, a drummer/percussionist from Belluno, Italy, who began his career in 1963 in Don Cherry's group, recorded with Steve Lacy and toured with Dexter Gordon, before turning to rock-tinged crossover jazz in the 1970s. It features Philip Catherine (g) and other musicians from the French-Italian connection. The album features progressive fusion with a light touch of Latin/Brazilian feeling, and the spacy synthesisers of the Mini Moog by Benoit Wideman, a former member of Magma who recorded the classic album Tsunami in 1979. Aldo Romano's mild fusion B4, a mix of bossa and country, with vocals by Aldo Romano himself, is highly recommended.
