Released in 1982 under the name Andre Rebstocks Jazz Rock & Lyrik Orchestra, this masterpiece was led by German jazz guitarist Andre Rebstocks and featured numerous renowned jazz musicians and vocalists, including Jochen Schmidt (bass), Markus Stockhausen (trumpet, flugelhorn), Ulli Beckerhoff (trumpet), and Herb Geller (saxophone, flute, oboe). Although labeled as Jazz Rock, the sound is notably organic and soulful. Tracks such as the awe-inspiring A2 evoke the grandeur of Archie Shepp's spiritual works from the 1970s, with a majestic jazz orchestra, soulful choral arrangements, and the spacey keyboard sounds of Volker Griepenstroh, creating a radiant, sunlit world. This style is quite rare for German contemporary jazz. We are pleased to offer an extremely rare test pressing, complete with a large poster insert.
A2: Aufsteigt Der Mond
B1: Novemberwinde Wehn
