Brandon Fields
The Other of the Story
Nova Records (US) 1985
NOVA 8602 (LP)
sleeve : EX(very slightly color-faded. one very slightly wrinkle.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good.)
This is the first solo album released in 1985 by Brandon Fields, an American jazz saxophonist who has worked with a wide range of artists including Ray Charles, Stanley Clarck, George Duke and Harry Connick Jr. This is a crystalline urban fusion album that flourished in the mid to late 80's, but there are some good songs on this album. Since he is a saxophonist, there are songs where he blows a lot, but I recommend B2, which has a lovely melody of acoustic piano, mild bass and floating trumpet. The second half of B3 is also good.
