Argentinean tenor saxophonist Gato Barbieri, who made his debut in the '60s, released his first album in 1973, featuring John Abercrombie (g), Stanley Clarke (b), Airto Moreira (ds), Lonnie Liston Smith (el-p) and others. This album is a spiritual ethno-jazz full of Afro-Latin feeling, with A1/B1, which are amazingly slow and rising like a tornado, and B2, which is wonderful with Lonnie Liston Smith's electric piano swaying behind Barbieri's passionate sax. The album is a masterpiece with no discarded tracks.
