This album by American jazz guitarist Larry Coryell was released in 1983 and features a performance on acoustic guitar of The Rite of Spring, a ballet composed in 1913 by Igor Stravinsky, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, and considered one of the world's most difficult pieces. The performance is overwhelmingly aggressive to the extreme, as only Coryell, known as one of the best guitarists with superb technique, could do. Produced by Teo Mateo, who is well known for his work with Miles Davis, the sound quality is raw and taut, with even the subtlest of touches clearly audible, making for a very rewarding listening experience.
