The third album by Michael Franks, an American singer/songwriter who has recorded many AOR masterpieces since his debut in 1973. In addition to musicians active in the US fusion scene such as Joe Sample, Larry Carlton, David Sanborn, and Michael Brecker, Brazilian musicians such as Joao Donato and Helio Delmiro also participate on this album. The Lady Wants to Know" and "Antonio's Son/The Rainbow," which have become classics and have been covered by many artists, are of course included, but Franks also incorporates Latin and Brazilian rhythms to create a mellow groove. This is a masterpiece of a masterpiece album, with a lineup of great songs that can be said to be the quintessence of Franks' music. The backing music is also excellent.
