This album, released in 1972, was created by Ornette Coleman, an American saxophonist who, needless to say, influenced numerous musicians, including Don Cherry, as one of the pioneers of free jazz. Coleman's innovative approach continued to evolve with this release, showcasing a groovy and spiritually infused crossover jazz that further advanced the boundaries of free jazz. Joining him are longtime allies such as Don Cherry on trumpet, Charlie Haden on bass, Billy Higgins and Ed Blackwell on drums, Dewey Redman on tenor saxophone, as well as Bobby Bradford, Carmon Fornarotto, Gerard Schwarg on trumpet, David Henderson as a poet, and Asha Puthli on vocals. This album serves as a new milestone in Coleman's career. Highly recommended. This is a reissue from Spain with different cover art released in 1988.
