Released in 1985, this is a trio album by Dutch jazz pianist Rene van Helsdingen, who has been active since the late 1970s. All the songs are scored by Helsdingen himself, and the music is very good, organic piano jazz with a calm atmosphere and positive energy, but the best and most unique track is the last track B5, which features Indonesian female singer Poppy Matulessy and Ade Supusepa on vocals, and the progressive sound of gamelan music is mixed with traditional Indonesian music, creating a cutting-edge crossover ethnic jazz that only Jakarta-born Helsdingen can produce. This one track alone is worth a listen. Highly recommended.
