1976 album by American saxophonist Sam Rivers, a central figure of the loft jazz movement that flourished in New York in the mid-1970s, including the classic duo album with Dave Holland and the 'The Tuba Trio' trilogy on the Circle label. Released in 1976. It features Ted Dunber (g), Dave Holland (b,cello), Barry Altschul (ds) and Warren SMith (ds,per). The album is a groovy work with a boldly crossover feel, with earthy flutes and cellos with a hint of psychedelic overtones layered over a fast-paced beat that incorporates Brazilian and Latin rhythms.
