The first album by HIKASHU was produced by Haruo Chikada and released in 1980. The album features A2, a cover of Kraftwerk's "Model," and A6, a free music-style track that suggests a later avant-garde direction, as well as rock and synthesizer music under the influence of the UK New Wave, sublimated with a unique theatrical modernism that takes an oblique stance, creating a very Japanese style of left-field pop.
